Terms of Service
Gears 2 Robots will charge your account on the 1st of each Month for recurring programs. All membership options are recurring and can be cancelled by the 15th of the month. If you choose not to have your account charges automatically billed, or do not have a credit card on file, it is your responsibility to pay tuition due at the 1st of each month. If your credit card does not process due to lack of funds, expired, etc, it is also your responsibility to pay account balances either online or in store. We can credit your account for pro-rate purposes. If cancelling an annual membership, the discounted costs for each month is due at time of cancellation. The $45 registration fee is a one time fee and is non-refundable. To cancel or pause your account, a notice is needed in writing via e-mail or written notice at the Tech Academy by the 15th of the month before billing. If a notice is not received, processed payments cannot be refunded.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization.
Your Access to and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:
• See what data we have about you, if any.
• Change/correct any data we have about you.
• Have us delete any data we have about you.
• Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Media Release and Consent
Gears 2 Robots may use any recorded media for promotional purposes. This includes pictures, video, member projects, or anything else within the Tech Academy or at Gears 2 Robots events outside the Tech Academy.
Release of Liability and Medical Needs
I understand there is a chance of injury from other persons, equipment, or accidents, and fully release all liability from Gears 2 Robots. I hold Gears 2 Robots, it’s employees, contractors, mentors, members, and members’ family members harmless from any act, omissions, negligence, or willful misconduct. All legal expenses will be the responsibility of the party bringing about the legal action. // Medical: Gears 2 Robots may perform minor medical treatment, defined by and using a standard First Aid kit. If the staff is unwilling or unable to administer care, Gears 2 Robots may call for emergency care if unable to contact the Emergency Contacts listed above.
Refunds cannot be given for membership tuition processed without prior cancellation notice. Class, Camp, and Workshop dues cannot be refunded after the start of the session. If a session has begun and you choose to opt-out, a refund cannot be given however a credit for Tech Academy services (classes, camps, memberships, etc.) can be given. If a material fee is applied, the material fee cannot be refunded after the Friday prior to the session. Unused Tech Academy access days will not be pro-rated or refunded.
Members and Students are welcome to bring a lunch or a snack to the Tech Academy. There is storage space available to lunches and snacks for that day. The Tech Academy is a peanut free zone. Foods containing peanuts or peanut based substances is prohibited. If you or your child brings peanuts or peanut products, you will be asked to keep the product sealed or discard of the product.
Drop Off & Pick Up Policy
Members are to be dropped off and picked up during operating hours. Members are not be be dropped off before operating hours. Gears 2 Robots is not responsible for members dropped off before Tech Academy operating hours. When picking up, parents or guardians are required to come into the Tech Academy. Members will not be allowed to exit the Tech Academy without a parent present.
If an incident occurs, Members will be sent home with an Incident Report. Incident Reports will be filed at the Tech Academy. Members will be allowed three Incident Reports before a parent meeting and a review will be conducted by the Board of Directors. At this time, the Board of Director reserves the right to suspend or remove a student from a program and/or membership.
The “Free Workshop” program is designed to allow students an introduction into various subjects. It is not meant to be a reoccurring class and will not advance into other subject matter. Individuals are only allowed to sign up for one of each workshop. If an individual is signed up for multiple of the same workshop, they will be notified and removed to allow space for other students. If you are on the wait list, please check to see if a space has opened before attending the workshop. If a space has not opened, there is no guarantee that a space will be created. If you sign up for a workshop and do not attend, you will not be automatically transferred or given priority into another class. You can however choose a workshop and will be placed onto a wait list. If space permits, you will be enrolled into the workshop.
